Bowenwork at
the 29th Annual Northern Arizona Tens Rugby Tournament
October 03 to October 04
Flagstaff's home rugby team, The
Northern Arizona LandShark Rugby Football Club hosted the Annual Northern
Arizona Tens Rugby Tournament October 3 and 4, 2009 at Foxglenn Park.
Professional Bowenwork Practitioner Teresa Peterson of Flagstaff was invited
to provide Sports Bowen at this event, which is the oldest Tens Rugby
Tournament in the world. Sandi Powell Bowenwork Practitioner from Prescott
traveled to Flagstaff to join Teresa in attending to the athletes.
This event is a fund raiser for the Flagstaff rugby clubs (men's, women's
and High School) and also gives Flagstaff's economy a boost. Thirty one
teams competed from Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. The players kept
Teresa and Sandi busy all day under a wind blown tent with multiple players
and injuries requiring Sports Bowen First Aid. Teresa and Sandi recently
attended Robyn
Wood’s two day Sports Bowen class in Prescott, Arizona.
Robyn Wood is one of the first truly international
Bowen Instructors. She uses her 18 years of experience in teaching Bowenwork
in Australia (from beginners to advanced) to develop and present specialized
courses around the world - for Chronic Fatigue and Stroke Management,
and now for Sports Related Injuries. Robyn has run courses in South Africa,
UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Italy and Scandinavia.
